ACT

Most
schools require applicants who submit the ACT to take the optional Writing Test. The Writing Test consists of a single essay. It takes 30 minutes to complete, and is administered after the regular test is completed.

The Writing Test generates two extra scores:
1. Writing Score - Ranges from 1 to 36
2. Writing (Essay) Score - Ranges from 2 to 12

All applicants should register for the optional Writing Test unless specifically directed otherwise by college applications or college counselor.
