ACT
The ACT is an achievement test. The ACT measures a test taker's "academic achievement" in the four subject areas. This means that the ACT seeks to measure something entirely different than the SAT.
While the SAT seeks to measure a test taker's reasoning skills, the ACT seeks to measure what the test taker has learned from their academic pursuits.
All students should complete preparation for the ACT because it measures what you have learned in the subject areas tested. However, preparing for the ACT is like preparing for any other test, it takes time and effort.
Test taking "tricks" and strategies are less important for the ACT than the SAT. If you do not know the content of what is being tested, no strategy will materially assist you in finding the correct answer choice.
